These aren't excuses or downing Piglet but just a number of things to think about.

I believe he missed the first week of LCS because of visa issues... I think? So Keith stepped in and took his place at the start. Piglet comes onto the team in a foreign country and does poorly as expected because of the new environment, players, synergy, communication etc. So he gets benched because the hype was there but he wasn't STRIKE ONE!

Keith steps in and takes his place TL does decent winning games against TSM/CLG and Winterfox I think but the point is they won games add the fact that Piglet also got benched because of being toxic. STRIKE TWO!
Team Liquid - Ironman ?

At the same time back in 2015 spring split team Liquid had around 777 total mins in 19 games where they barely reached the playoffs. They had Dom who at that point already had a year under his belt, same with Quas who played with Dom back in 2014 spring and Summer as well as Xpecial where during that time TL had around 41 mins per game while playing with Cop who has a history of playing super passive same with Quas.
So fast forward a year later where those 3 players played with one of the most passive adc players to known history now add in Piglet whos know to be an aggressive adc but with no communication or synergy and being told to carry a team with 3 players that had a full year with synergy but yet still didn't know what to do mid game and are pretty passive and not know how to end games hint the average 40 mins per game Spring 2014, 41 mins per game summer and soon to be 40 min average 2015 Spring.
After a decent Spring 2015 run eliminating CLG 3-0 sweep and facing C9 in a competitive 5 game series in which previously they would just get swept by C9 like in the past playoffs twice. The potential was there for TL and Piglet.
A split later they had the best NA record the best TL ever done since 2013 Spring but again fell short to TSM in another competitive series with multiple 50 min games.
A few weeks later Quas leaves the team, Dom leaves the team and Xpecial leaves the team, leaving Piglet alone to now only having to build communication with his new teammates, starting back at 0. As well as adding the fact that after TL had one of their best splits ever 3 team members mainly Dom retiring after only a 1 and a half career most likely sat wrong with Piglet.
To Piglet it was like " So my teammates left me after a good split, but the hardwork didn't payoff" so why should Piglet work hard for it to not payoff in the long run if his teammates that he built time and effort to only leave after their best split ever? STIRKE THREE!
2016 Rolls around and TL has new members Lourlo, Dardoch and Matt.
3 young rookies!!!!!!!! on a team with 2 Korean speaking members Fenix and Piglet; What could go wrong?
Toxic players, bad synergy, back stabbing, bad coaching, he said - she said style arguments etc.
However they managed to make it to playoffs eliminating a bad NRG team easily 3-0. To only face CLG who won that Split in a competitive 5 game series yet again in which after that double TP(Darshan and Huhi) on Piglet and to eventually lose the series, that was the final strike. STRIKE FOUR!
Honestly after that series and all that Piglet had went through since joining TL/NA how could he not go downhill and just not care.
New country, no communication, constant 40 min games, 1 game away from making it to 2 NA finals, players leaving, synergy, constantly being eliminated by Cloud 9 twice before Piglet joined back in 2013/14 as well as once since Piglet joined in the playoffs and Worlds Qualifications as well as their challenger team when he got booted off the team and joined the Challenger scene.
laning with Matt who has a Dyrus feel to him but without the skill, Lourlo who in teamfights doesn't tank anything to keep Piglet/Fenix/ the carries alive, a raging Dardoch, a mediocre and most times childish coach Loco and it just goes on and on.
Like I said " These aren't excuses or downing Piglet but just a number of things to think about".
- Great topic and thank you , Have a good One!
