Why is huni not picking up Quinn as a counterpick in his recent matches?

SKT could just be making Huni play Tanks as he's more proficient on them for 1 also tank tops are the meta right now and high dmg junglers so there's not much of a reason to have top/jng/mid/adc "carries" right now.
Also, stated before SKT could be making Huni play around tanks until they figure him out; kinda like "scanning" him and his style, ways, tendencies etc until they get a good reading.

  • Just my opinion on the matter

What's there to figure out? The world knows his Quinn is the best.

They're just trying to get him into the SKT playstyle is all, in game knowledge on how to do things the SKT way and not the FNC/IMT way and trying to fit him into their offense for right now and not relying him on comfort picks right now.
It's hard to tell someone how to do things when they could be possibly dead half the game and the team needs to react defensively, instead he plays tanks so he can live and listen for the full game.

His Quinn is nasty in NA, now I'm not saying he will be bad playing Quinn in the LCK but each of those NA Quinn games where 50/50. He could play Quinn next week and do fine just have to wait and see.

What do you mean by his Quinn was nasty? And is there a chance we can see him pull quinn in this tank meta?

"Nasty" like he performed well playing as Quinn.

" And is there a chance we can see him pull Quinn in this tank meta?"

  • In this meta I doubt, there's just so much damage from every champion that you need a tank somewhere on the map.

Look at Junglers it's nothing but Kha-Graves-Rek-Olaf-Lee.
Look at supports it's also nothing but straight up damage Mids is mid so damage nothing changes from that or the ADC roles.

SKT could switch Peanut and Huni and make them switch champion pools but tanks doesn't fit Peanut and his playstyle but you can always make a top be less comfortable on a champion pool than it is for a jungler because they don't have towers to play safe under so for now unless the meta changes I don't see it.

If I was a betting man I would say Huni will play Quinn no more than 4 times this split, especially since SKT are constantly 2-0 opponents.
SKT top laners have only played Quinn twice I believe. So there's that to go on also.

Is his Quinn toxic to fight against in general? In NA he was making everyone of his opponents cry.

Not in this meta honestly, you can just root her ass with Mao with his W every 3 secs and using RWEQ combo will pretty much kill Quinn every time or Naut Q gap closer when she tries to run, passive stun every 3-7 secs, an E that slows them and ult, WQER dead. Quinn wins the early game but pros at least in the LCK aren't stupid they know certain champions are only op during certain times and Quinn just like other aggressive champions are only good pre 6 especially used top lane against melee opponents.

" In NA he was making everyone of his opponents cry".

  • Not really. I think he only played Quinn 4 times and all 4 games were in the spring split where IMT were so damn dominate because the competition were either having synergy problems or visa issues. Huni while playing Quinn at the time beat
  1. Echo Fox- no Froggen at the time not that it would make much of a difference but still, a complete ass team that year and possibly years to come in NA.
  2. Team Liquid- Dardoch reality tv show was entertaining to watch but that team at the time pretty much neutered itself with it's own crap.
  3. CLG - this was the only team that beat Huni and his Quinn because they weren't complete trash like the rest of the teams that IMT beat with Quinn at the time.
  4. C9- They also beat C9 which was surprising but again at the time certain teams were having synergy issues and Impact at the time was having major synergy and communication issues.

I don't know what else to say but without being too rude I will just end it here for me, however since it's a 2 way street I WILL read you comment so it's not rude of me because I had a conversation with someone very similar about the Huni Quinn comment a while back.

yes, huni is a god on quinn, you don't want to face it, he's also extremely good on flora and a lot of carry picks, his Camille in soloQ looks totally insane.

he played quinn a fair bit in EU when he was here you should if you want to see it on a pro setting see him play it and bear in mind he was playing vs people who where able to /good enough to beat him too.

Huni has pretty much played Maokai and Poppy as well as Gangplank once. He will get to play dmg dealers when the time is right, but he needs to learn tanks and not goof around like on IMT. (if IMT last year had same coaching staff and resources as SKT, they would have won at least one playoffs and gone to Worlds) It's doing him good to not have Reignover babysitting him as a jungler. So far, he's doing really good. Baku pretty much covered anything else I was going to say.

I wish he pulls quinn out, since SKT almost always wins their split games, so why not a little change?

Because there is no reason to. Their strategy is working, they are winning their games. They have no reason or need to change things right now. And change for the sake of change is never good. I understand you want to see Huni's Quin, but as far as we know, he may never play her this season. Just be patient and enjoy the strong showing that are putting on now.
