Santorin do not use an import slot though. NA CS caliber teams have to scrap the bottom of the barrel to field even 3 NA resident players, and he wasn't even the worse of those one

I thought Santorin hung in fairly well against both of them. He pretty much Dumpstered Lira in the first series. Lira out played him in the final series. In the Liquid series, Reignover slightly out played him on the whole. But it was the TSM ringer that made all the difference and Mid and top in Game 5. And without that Ringer, Liquid loses that series and Reignover's stats probably don't look that good either.
Santorin out played Lira in Game 1.
Lira out played Santorin in Game 2.
Santorin Dumpstered Lira in Game 3.
Santorin Dumpstered Lira in Game 4.
Series did not go 5 games.
Neither Reignover nor Santorin were instrumental in Game 1. TSM Ringer carried.
Reignover out played Santorin Game 2. But again Bit lane TSM Ringer carried.
Neither dominated Game 3. Piglet got dumpstered.

Reignover out played Santorin in Game 5. But it wasn't that big a deal. Mid and top got dumpstered.
