But they aren't C9, despite the fact that C9 has done everything in their power to imitate them (whether it be by taking players, coaches, or even imitating their preferred laners). Part of me is legitimately happy to see SKT as the 2nd seed right now, if only because it technically makes life easier for NA now due to them having two #2 seeds (meaning that at worst our gauntlet team will be in a group with them). Perhaps with that they can finally make it out of groups for once.

C9 a team that looked really good against TSM 2016 Summer Finals, was in the same group as SKT( a team that lost before reaching the Finals against KT, who didn't even make it to Worlds themselves.
The last thing I want is for any NA teams to be in a group with any LCK teams that's for sure. SKT may be down but I have no reason to doubt that they won't win Worlds yet, again.

I'm no expert with the new Worlds format but just for clarity sake; NA lost their/our #1 seed in which most likely NA's #1 seed will most likely be in the same group as LCK's #1 group or LPL #1(similar/identical to G2 from 2016) because of what happened at MSI.
NA's #2 seed will also more than likely be in LCK's #2(SKT) or be in a group with either LPL #2 seed/LMS #2 seed/// a very top to bottom heavy group(similar to say 2015 TSM/OG/LGD/KT) group also, add in NA's #3 seed in the gauntlet.
I personally think 1 of the 3 NA teams will make it out of groups/fingers crossed, but if NA couldn't do much in the prior 6 years, I have no reason to think NA can do much now with #1 seed being pretty much a lost cause, #2 seed being in a grinder with multiple #2 seeds, and NA's #3 having to battle like 3-6 games or something just to make it to Groups.

I'd prefer they fail. I do not like e-sports, I never will like it. (Though I'm happy nerds can make money from this, cheers!) But I'd like a new victorious team in this nerd circus. I do not care who as long as skt fails to win the big game. Just like American football I'm tired of the Patriots.

You don't like E-Sports but you're up to date with current events ? Every sport has the same 1-2 teams that are super dominate.
NFL It's the Patriots, Broncos(was), Packers NHL It's the Penguins and Blackhawks NBA it's the Cavaliers and Warriors League it's SKT and the two other Korean teams. Diversity is just a myth when it comes to "sports"
