Not going to lie, I'm so glad. I never liked CLG because of their whole "let's all do everything we can to give DL an edge". They finally changed the problem and the team has never looked better
Are they number one like last split? No, but the competition this split is much better. C9 is not strong, tip has a steady line up, TSM has a full superstar team, piglet has adjusted to tl..etc

I relate to this too well. And yes, CLG looking good this year. The level of competition is better overall I think.

Huni had the same experience, claimed to be the best top laner during EU LCS, and he just got beaten up like a pulp during Worlds by other top laners, Fnatic had to rely on Febiven and Rekkles to carry his ass

KetiaX1 votesHe has appeared ONCE in Worlds. Not sure on this, but he probably has only played in ANY International tournaments once. I don't know how you can claim someone chokes based on that.
Let's not ignore the fact the classic CLG issue mentioned by HotshotGG and aphromoo where Doublelift tilted, started creating negative atmosphere around the team, and basically lost CLG all the games in 2nd week. If anyone CLG actually choked, it's probably not because of themselves choking, it's Doublelift.

Yeah, all CLG players played bad second week...and Darshan was among them, and he and Double should have been the main carries of that team so they have the most repsonsability for CLG fail at Worlds

I knew, always knew Doublelift was a big problem with CLG. I'm not saying he is a bad player. He is a good mechanical player but he is emotional and very outspoken. You can tell because when CLG lost with him, it affected them a lot. You can even tell that his support called it quits on him. The guy just wants to be the superstar of the team and it just does not work.
When CLG got rid of him I knew they would do better. Don't get me wrong, I think stixay is not a good replacement but I think with DL gone the team can focus on other members more.
Doublelift is TSM's problem now. I was their fan but when they got rid of the Oddone and then wild turtle, i called it quits on them

I mean, I still love double, he was part of my favorite team and one of my favorite players. Even with the whole trash-talking thing he at least stayed dedicated to CLG because of the opportunity they gave him, even when he got offers from other teams. I still think he's one of the best ADC's in NA, at least mechnically.
I just disliked the fact that people thought CLG was only successful because of doublelift, which I believed was bullshit. He does have a mentality problem, he is not the very best. He contributed as much to their losses as he did to their wins, especially in summer of s4 when his positioning looked particularly poor. Their failures were failures as a team, not because doublelift couldn't carry them.

xJLx MCHammer1 votesIt's not about choking. It's about being too emotional. It's not something that can be isolated on the international stage; this is CLGs story as long as double lift was there. Every split began with them doing good to the point that they started claiming the season as their golden age. Then by the end of the split, they someone find themselves struggling to win games against anyways. Why? Because one person, mainly DL was so emotional

How you going to shut Huni AND Reignover down, and somehow allow BOTH of them to come back? And how can you talk shit saying C9 has no talent, when your mid lane got bodied at all points of the game.
And lasty, how well did your team do last year at Worlds? Exactly. Let alone how many times have you been there?
