Former Counter Logic Gaming Mid laner Link is back! It's been 2 years or so since we've seen him play and while everyone will talk/mention the 20 page essay meme etc I'm actually happy to see him back as a FAN. I'm excited mainly because I'v watched him play since 2013 for a total of 5 splits so for a better part of 3 years, and while he might not be a top 10 Western Mid now in my opinion he was a Top 10 back in the day as far as Western Mids go.
He now joins Team Liquid as a sub behind Goldenglue which is ok, I can see where TL is coming from but at the same time they know and mostly everyone knows that Goldenglue just isn't as good as they hope he is or possibly become he just isn't sadly and they will soon find that out during the span of the Spring split.

Video below, if you don't feel comfortable pressing the link just type in ( Liquid LOL the Return on youtube) , Have a good One!

I swear I watched that earlier and I was face frozen the entire time. In the back of my mind I was just thinking, "Are....you...kidding me?"

Link was one of my favored players to watch back when I was actually a diehard fan of teams/players (RIP my Curse days - LMQ murdered the last of it). I didn't necessarily rate and evaluate teams back then either. Lets just say this news definitely stirs up the preparation for a pre-split evaluation I plan on doing...only slightly and probably only for Team Liquid.

Not entirely surprised by this news as I had heard rumors that TL was "in the market" for some mid-lane backup (from what I had heard though they were in talks with AlexIch joining their org instead). While I don't think him being a sub on the team matters too much (let's not forget that teams have "honor subs" all the time, like with regi being one for TSM), him playing a series vs clg could make some news.

What I am super excited about is how there are now a bunch of home-grown mid laners being chosen rather than importing them. We have goldenglue, link, and Hai so it will be super interesting. not to mention how hype it will be that we have two of the old time mids back in link and hai :D. its just gonna be such a fun split to watch and I feel like a lot of teams COULD go off and win it. I am not saying it is likely for some but I just think that all the teams have so much potential to just go nuts. we have Pheonix 1 with the possible new ryu/inori power duo in the early game, we got the return of the old C9 players in flyquest, we got team liquid who looked ok against Samsung, and along with it we have the return of dignitas. gonna be hype af. also bakyru I wanna apologize for past accusations of hating on riot :D. realized that I was being a bit defensive of them and that I wasn't really paying attention to what you were actually saying I just saw "production isn't that good" or somethin like that and I was like "WTF HE IS TRASHING ON RIOT WTF" so sorry bout that :D

Oh Link! Turn back while you still can! This'll be the final nail in the coffin. and that quote, "Everybody loves piglet, everybody loves playing with piglet..." talk about trying to frame something knowing full well that piglet isn't exactly a team player. Boy oh boy, I really hope Link writes 100 pages at the end of his liquid days, though I'm sure he got a very special contract designed to prevent such a thing... which means he'll be facing a lawsuit at the end of it. I can't wait. Let the curse continue!

As a CLG fan since day 1, I warn you TL fans, you're in for a world of hurt in the midlane.

Also a novel when his poor play forces him to be removed but that's neither here nor there...
