For the next portion of Worlds, Riot disables Ardent Censor in the game. Wouldn't that make things more exciting?

I don't get all the crying about this item. It's 1 item on the support of all things, who cares if they are all buying this item first.. it's not like there hasn't been other items that people try to go after first.. I don't know, maybe a BF sword. Get over it, this worlds has had plenty of diversity.

People just freak out at anytime a support does something. Support WR is too high, support buy this item, support always buy coin, always buy redemption, always buy ardent. It isn't like every other class always buys the same items.

I don't mind Ardent, I think people are just crying over it because everyone else is. But I wouldn't mind it, it isn't like I love Ardent either.

But, this Worlds has already had a lot of innovation. GAM, Caitlyn, Nasus. Like it isn't just ardent right now, and the Koreans probably haven't shown their counter either.

But, this Worlds has already had a lot of innovation. GAM, Caitlyn, Nasus. Like it isn't just ardent right now, and the Koreans probably haven't shown their counter either. = GAM isnt innovative thats just how they play and they also played with ardent botlanes. Caitlyn is strong because of the ardent shields + range is free turret aswell. If anything you can praise MSF for no ardent supp. Nasus wasnt a new strat either and also still picked with ardent.

Regardless, when people talk of "ardent meta" they are discussing lategame hypercarry. GAM, Cait are the opposite of that. I also hear GAM plays much more traditional lanes in Vietnam. And even if those teams (inc Nasus) have an Ardent, they are clearly making unique picks and plays. Even if it gets to lategame (which it doesn't), the early game is super new that teams like TSM weren't used to.

It's more than this in my opinion . supports are taking gold generating runes instead of defensive stats, and adcs are starting relic shield instead of a dorans item in order to help the support get to ardent censer asap. That's because the item is busted in laning phase too. Giving an adc lifesteal / drain that he doesn't have to pay for... it's like in s4 bloodthirster was the core first item for adcs and riot changed things to make IE then zeal item more optimal since early lifesteal just made adc lanes so stupid. There's no poking down your opponent because they heal right back up. You win an all in surviving with 5% health and you just stick around to push the advantage and can't be punished because you're full health in 10 seconds.

Ardent isn't only this busted late game item that can decide a teamfight. It's also busted early game when it let's an adc recover from any mistake and push any advantage at will.
