NA and Chinese players make more money on average? I mean the ones in china are run by bored billionaires. They win becuase the culture in Korea is different and treats esports like a sport, while in the west they are second class. As well as having better infrastructure in general.

If you think organizations in LCK invest more money to its teams than leagues like LPL and both LCS, then either you are reading wrong information or just making shit up.

Why the hell do you think players in Korea leave LCK for more money? Because overseas pay its players much more than LCK. That's a simple fact.

Faker was asked if rumor of multi-million offer from numerous LPL teams were true, he answered yes. Asked why he didn't leave, he said LCK is simply the best league in the world competition-wise and that he still has much to prove to other pro players and its fans.

Teams in LCK is simply better because of their culture not because they receive more investment like you claim. Why do you hate facts?

Just take a look at their roster now:

Huni was a trainee for Samsung for a brief time after he failed a tryout with SKT. After his stints in EU and NA, it was Huni himself who called KkOma to give him another chance with the team. It wasn't SKT's money that signed him.

Peanut was a long time Najin trainee and even debuted with that organization. He then followed and joined ROX which had 4 other ex-Najin players including its coach NoFe. Peanut almost signed with SKT after Najin disbanded simply because of Duke (ex-SKT Starcraft trainee) who he considered his Big Brother from Najin days instead he was swayed to join ROX which had more ex-Najin players. Once ROX disbanded, he only considered two options: 1) Peanut really wanted to stay with Smeb or 2) win the international competitions by joining SKT which had two ex-Najin players in Bang and Wolf and his idol Faker. After Smeb signed with KT that had Score and Bengi leaving the SKT organization, it was an easy choice for him.

Faker only became pro because SKT wanted him and SKT was the only team he knew from Starcraft league. He signed with SKT despite at the time both Najin and CJ were the god-tier organizations simply because of SKT's reputation of taking care of its players starting from Starcraft league. If SKT didn't go after Faker, he might just be another Dopa playing as Gojeonpa in Korean server.

Bang, like Peanut was a long time Najin trainee behind ex-Najin-greats Locodoco and PraY. He was anticipated as Faker-like talent at ADC position with Najin however, he was a late bloomer. He was let go by Najin and joined Xenics for a brief time before KkOma gave him a call to help resurrect his career placing him on SKT T1 S squad. And we all know what happened once LCK got rid of sister teams making Bang starting ADC of SKT T1 pushing SKT T1 K's Piglet out the door.

Wolf, like Bang was a third or fourth option for Najin organization behind ex-Najin-greats ViNylCat and GorillA. He was let go by Najin and joined a collegiate team that included Hachani and Piccaboo. KkOma picked up Piccaboo as well as Wolf despite he was a substitute at organizations he was with thinking he could groom him at SKT T1 S squad knowing he sat behind support greats. Once PoohManDu retired for good and Piccaboo continued to battle chronic wrist injury, SKT T1's starting position was given to Wolf. At first, it seemed like Wolf was overwhelmed however he is now considered a hybrid of GorillA and Mata in playing style.

SKT isn't KT nor Longzhu where they go out and sign whoever they want. They are more like Samsung in a way where they groom their own or even like Najin where they have a huge pool of trainees. SKT model works because of their brand and reputation in taking care of their players. They invest and reward its players making them the number one organization for amateurs and pros alike. Wins and titles certainly help. They have long surpassed both Najin and CJ in tradition and history and this is hard for me to say because I was a rabid supporter of Najin organization and had chance to mod for Peanut's streams dating back to his trainee days while he was still with the organization.

SKT didn't become SKT of today overnight. It took them years of investment, rewards and gaining reputation among players and fans. Their success isn't black and white like many of you make them to be with monetary investments. If it was, KT should be the ones representing LCK in this year's MSI. I will give big applause to sacrifices made by both players and coaches to keep its team together and continue to build on a tradition that may be hard for other organizations repeat.
