Best summary of EU and NA fans: Autistic retards who don't have anything better to do but talk sht about other regions/teams and overhype their own region.

Isn't it like that every worlds? The only exception was season 4 where NA seemed to be pretty weak throughout the entire year, and so there was no fuss coming from NA - and look at that - EU didn't leave groups while NA had both TSM and C9 advancing. NA fanboys never learn.

Now NA goes home. I seriously doubt C9 goes anywhere. NA hypes up for one week of Worlds, and then embarrasses itself as a region once again. TSM in particular. They had all the tools. Too bad none of that translated to professional play.

You'd think the Eu vs NA circle jerk would get old eventually once the novelty wears off but i guess not. Imo i would be fine with EU winning worlds even if NA got kicked out of groups as long as its not korea AGAIN. I dont really watch eu lcs much but i do watch unicorns their games are fun to watch. Even then i still expected more from g2 at least... heres hoping things go well for both c9 AND h2k

It isn't Karma. EU showed itself as a terrible region. They are the Joke of worlds. That the NA teams have decided to actively compete for the title of worlds joke isn't Karma, it is history. NA teams will always and forever throw at worlds. the EU v. NA debates are simply two regions actively fighting about who will be the most laughable losers in any given tournament.

Both RNG & TSM are 3-3. why is RNG going n not TSM?

Well NA still looking better overall, but we still need to get C9 out of groups. I'm glad EU got someone through.

Like, seriously, who gives a shit? Do your pathetically fragile egos hinge on the success of a regions esports team? You're not part of their victories or defeats. You don't get to take credit.

Fact is, the only thing western players should be upset about is that it's the same tournament again. All Korea and China.

Something needs to change, or both NA and EU just need to concede the whole tournament deal and step down to save themselves some embarrassment.

Frankly, worlds have become stale, and boring.

And Riot needs to drop this single game/round robin bullshit.

They have five weeks of plans - but only use three days a week. Bo5 games could easily fill up two or three weeks, and show true skill - where games won't hinge off one bad game, where real comebacks are possible.

Oh well. This will be the last worlds I watch - not because NA isn't going to make it to groups, but because it's become repetitive and boring.

NA still had a better showing than EU overall. One day of god-like play from an up-and-down team like H2K doesn't change that. TSM disappionted no doubt, but CLG was better than expected and C9 at least met expectations, arguably was better than expected.

Now what?

NA 4-0 vs EU.
NA 9-9 EU 7-12
NA 2,3,3 EU 1,4,4

Placing 1-8 NA, EU 9-11 NA, NA (3-3)
12-13 Neither. (2-4) 14-16. EU, EU, (1-5)

Region by region record. Korea 15-4. .789 NA 9-9 .500 China 9-10 .473 LMS 5-7 .416 Wildcards 5-8 .384 EU 7-12 .368

Na 2nd best record. EU Worst record.

NA>>>>>>Eu by any objective measure. That's now what.

The only reason H2k did anything is they got the weakest group, a group without any of the two top region's teams in it. And lucky them, they got the wild card in the quarters.

EU is falling behind in Worlds because all the good EU teams are only out for cash and immediately dump their team for a new one. Just gonna point at Fnatic last Worlds. People have no obligation to practice and improve, they just dump their team for a new contract and then lose another Worlds game. It's what almost all teams do, no matter the region, but it frustrates me a lot eitherway. I wish some competitive players would show some balls and stand with their team, practice, fix what they did wrong and work on it and THEN return to Worlds. But no, instead they are just out looking for the cash and getting handed around like a doll.
