Should team yp allowed to play in na lol esports

http://prntscr.com/9ffkp4 As you can see, the rules of north american lcs blocks sponsors that display or related to pornographic images. Team YP is blocked from being to play in north american lcs is this exactly fair? I understand trying to keep it PG-13 for a broader audience to market to but the jerseys are extremely calm. http://esportscenter.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/header-youporn-team-yp-merch.jpg Also, mentioning porn is ok not showing actual nudity or describing nudity in great detail. The word youporn has no meaning alone. So do you think YouPorn should be allowed to have a team?

They probably put their "No porn sponsors" rule in for a reason. Don't see why they would go back on that.

Unless YouPorn gives them a reason to but I can't imagine what that would be.

Wow... the grammar of this post is the perfect example of what pornography does to your brain and another reason Riot is absolutely doing the right thing not allowing them to compete. And just in case any of you think I'm being in anyway ridiculous, over-dramatic, or will dismiss this rant as that of an "uptight religious nut" (as I've been called for expressing my view on the topic) need to "get the facts" - http://fightthenewdrug.org/get-the-facts/

In all sincerity, please visit the site in the link I posted and educate yourselves on the SCIENCE behind this plague to our society and world! So armed with that knowledge, and to answer your original question, NO... they should absolutely not be allowed to participate in the LCS, seeing as their "sponsor" is in ANY way affiliated with that filth.

So thank you @Riot for keeping the league free of this influence!

Went back and fixed the grammar. Sorry! I did this post on the fly so I do admit the grammar at first was horrible so hopefully this is better! Also I don't watch porn this is more on how It's unfair for a team not to play based off its sponsor.

That was very good of you to correct it all, thanks. I meant no personal disrespect, simply making my point. I stand by my reasoning afterwards, which is that nothing even remotely affiliated with porn should be anywhere near the LCS and Riot is 100% in the right not to allow them access.

@Cunctor - "They have said that they are not advertising their namesake website..." I'm not sure if you are serious or trolling... truthfully... The team name IS the advertisement. I think you are confusing "advertising" with "advocating." Just because they don't advocate (actively endorse or promote) porn doesn't mean they aren't in fact advertising it by literally naming the team after the organization or website, whatever YP is.

Just because there is a website with "facts" in the title doesn't mean all (or any) of those facts are true ;)

Team Youporn said often enough that they are not advertising their namesake website, so I see little reason why they should be denied access.

This situation happened in other e-sports when they tried to sponsor a team As long as they explicitely don't advertise pornographic related things on their team name/jersey/gadgets, there isn't nothing that prevent YouPorn from owning a team and funding it. Team YP would be allowed to play as long as they actually avoid to do any mention to their relationship to the site directly

I'll repeat what I posted elsewhere... but with an example... a child is watching an LCS broadcast during the next season lets say. All the casters have to do is say the name of the team... they don't always say TSM or C9 or TIP, they sometimes of course use the whole team name such as Team Solo Mid or Cloud 9 and Team Impulse. So this kid now hears "team YouPorn" (because they will not always say just team YP). And THAT alone has now mentioned their affiliate and sponsors website, which you agree (in your post) is something that should NOT happen. And as for their name/jersey/gadgets... I again shake my head... please scroll up to the top of the page... the logo you see there "YP" would of course be bradned on all their gear, same as any other LCS team. I truly don't understand how you fail to connect those 2 dots...

Man, YP won't be just an abbreviation used by casters while the name is the complete YouPorn, the complete name of the team would be Team YP or something similar...team name clearly it can't include the term YouPorn or other term directly associated with pornography on team name, the rules are clear

There is no risk for kids when looking directly at Riot sites/vods/official media because surely they would avoid to allow to put any reference to the YouPorn site on their official media channels

The exposure the site could receive, would be from the external sites/sources that would refer to team YP as the team sponsorized by YouPorn, not by any Riot affiliated thing The logo YP as long as it is neutral and has no connections to the activity of the site is fine

I truly don't understand how you fail to connect 2 dots Riot has total control on his leagues and can easily detect even the slightest risk for their brand to be damaged by pornoghraphic advertising, so they can just double check everything the team does and punish them at the slightest risk of them doing any porno advertising The problem are the external people like you that would look at the team purely referencing it to the YouPorn team even if they don't do anything that goes against the rule in managing the pro team
