NA Week 7 Thoughts and Predictions ( Welcome to join in if you want)
TEAM LIQUID VS CLOUD 9 These two teams are similar in their differences, C9 kills per game are TL's deaths per game, Team Liquid kills per game are C9's deaths per game and same thing with towers taken and destroyed. Doublelift joins TL and Adrian joins TL and while I do think this looks good on paper we can't forget that not all "super teams" are just going to be great at the start so any fans expecting TL to be a top 3 team just hold your horses. Team Liquid/Curse and D-Lift both have history with Cloud 9
- It was actually D-Lift when he was on CLG that gave C9 their first lose in the season around week 5
- Cloud 9 eliminated Team Liquid/Curse in the 2014 Spring Playoffs, 2014 Summer Playoffs, the 2015 Spring Playoffs and also the 2015 Worlds Qualifier series. If C9 beats TL on Friday they might as well also put " defeated and destroyed TL's playoff hopes 2017 Spring Playoffs" because TL needs to win out pretty much to make the playoffs. Back to D-Lift and C9 Doublelift is 11-12 in games against C9 when he was on CLG 2013-2015 Doublelift is 6-2 against C9 when he was on TSM 2016-2016 He also seems to have great stats aginst C9 in most losing efforts especially when he was on CLG. Overall I'm picking CLOUD 9 to win the series 2-0, I do see 2 competitive games maybe a 41 min game and a fast paced 33 min game.
FLYQUEST VS PHOENIX ONE ah, Adrian leaves which in my book makes P1 look horrible even more so now because I don't care much for Inori, I think he's too aggressive but it's not smart aggressiveness it's more like just solo Q style. Adrian was also P1's shotcaller in my books as support and having a decent mental playstyle so I do see their game against FQ being a fast paced kill games and that's about it. However, I do see P1 winning mainly because I'm tired of seeing FQ fans believe this team is just some god tier team they're not! Balls and Lemon are good teammates........... that's it. Moon is whatever as well as Hai saved his career. Altec is ok but I'v seen enough of him for about 4 years now to notice that he still sucks in teamfights, he farms that's about it. Overall I'm picking P1 to win the series 2-1.
COUNTER LOGIC GAMING VS CLOUD 9 Could be the best series this week in my opinion. Stixxay and Sneaky are the two vocal points mainly because everyone looks at Sneaky especially at the start of the split and thought he had become a D-Lift/UZI/Deft incarnation of them but when Stixxay who is 14-16 in wins against Sneaky's 21-8 record has a better KDA on a losing team, more gold because of his cs per min, cs per game, cs at 10-15-20, more damage per game, damage per minute, is in more fights to help his team yet they still lose, while Sneaky isn't in as many fights it's concerning! Darshan and Xmithie both are falling off some, and need this week go without a hitch to gain some momentum. Hopefully Darshan picks Ekko or Ireillia a champion that can hold their own in lane and be more aggressive because when Darshan's on a tank he thinks of his team way too much to the point where it's hurting them, because the flank TP from Darshan has gotten predictable in the last 2 years. Overall I'm picking C9 to win the series 2-1
ECHO FOX VS DIGNITAS Echo Fox are either 5th or 7th in all most every category Kills 4th, Deaths 7th, Towers Destroyed 5th, Towers Lost 5th, Dragons 7th, Small Baron 7th, Barons 9th, WPM 5th, Cleared 5th And so are DIG so looking at this series it's a clear cut of the two most average teams facing each other this week, which means a 25 min stump and a 40 min roast for 1 team to be behind for most of the game only to win it. Overall I'm picking EF to win the series 2-1
TEAM ENVYUS VS TEAM SOLOMID Seraph is 5-10 against TSM and has lost the last 6 games against them so I don't see much of that changing this week. Overall picking TSM to win 2-0
FLYQUEST VS IMMORTALS Clear calls will decide this series and while FQ does have the better deciding calls than Immortals I still see Immortals being able to come up with a few cheeky plays against them. Dardoch is 0-5 when he plays Lee sin this split and 0-4 when he plays Graves. Started off like 7-2 W/L on Graves/Lee combined but since is around 2-16 W/L on Graves/Lee. I'm thinking he will/should pick Elise this week as he's only 4-0 on Elise this split and 7-2 on her in his career. Picking FQ to win 2-1
PHOENIX ONE VS ECHO FOX IDK about this series honestly so I'll just say Echo Fox wins 2-0
TEAM LIQUID VS ENVYUS Seraph v D-Lift the rivalry continues.......... meh. D-lift vs Apollo is what I'm looking forward seeing. I'v only seen Doublelift play Draven what feels like 5 years ago but we have seen other players play him to some degree and have pulled him off so I do see D-Lift pulling out the Draven and out of TL's rest of their schedule NV is their weakest opponents so yeah Draven would be nice to see. Picking TL to win 2-0
COUNTER LOGIC GAMING VS DIGNITAS Stixxay is perfect whenever he faces Dignitas....... 2-0 lol. On a series note tho, Aphromoo very rarely picks the same champion twice whenever he faces Dig only once has he picked the same champion when he faces DIG and that was when he picked Braum two games in a row against them other than that one time he picks a different champion whenever he faces them in a row. If anything I see Aphroo picking either Braum or Thresh against them but overall I do see CLG winning 2-0
IMMORTALS VS TEAM SOLOMID The last time these two teams faced we as fans got 2 50+ min games and 3 total games out of it so here's to hoping for another great series that goes the distance as I personally love 50+ min games! Do I see that happening ? - No, I don't. If the story of D-Lift telling Bjergsen that Zed is OP and he should play him is true( Which I don't understand how a pro doesn't know that already??) then I'm expecting Bjergsen to play Zed as he's only what 18-6 on Zed counting Bjergsen's early years in EU, NA, and international tournaments like 2014 Worlds. Picking TSM to Win 2-0
Thank you and Have a good one!
- Also I see this being Doublelift's stats if he plays out the rest of Team Liquid's split(NOT including playoffs !) 69 Kills 50 deaths 67 assists and 4,347 cs
