• I agree. Riot listens to people but yet they don't really know how many of us there are. I would say given your good and excellent insight on E-Sports and the LCS you and myself included are 2 of what could be thousands of people willing to create content about League of Legends. Articles/player movements/interviews/videos etc etc.
  Creating jobs is very... tricky because having too many Indians can require more food per Indian. However if Riot gives people an incentive like " ok we are going to talk about X topic, if you're interested do this blah blah blah and we might higher you to work for us" People are going jump and take advantage of that situation, even more so if the topic could be more opinionated than say actual facts. For example " why did TSM fail at Worlds" ...

Weekly PTL from fans actually gives Riot an ability to see what fans think about certain situations, aka it's sorta like a job interview but without the weird pressure. Instead the pressure is really just a fun topic about League/LCS.
I'm pretty sure Riot can figure out the real intelligent fans and the caring ones who actually gives real responses about certain topics from the idiots who are just dumb and again " Why did TSM fail at Worlds!" Group A. " They noobs gg at 20, later bitches!" Group B. Chemistry/rookie support/ etc etc. It gives news to FANS FROM FANS!!!! It's cut from the same cloth!

I wanted to not skip that part of your topic because I really do think it's a smart idea/answer. However there are a bunch of videos of fans talking about that stuff and they don't really get noticed and after a while they do produce content about that. Why do the work if there is no payoff?

See, I think you lost focus on one of my points there. While I did reference "Adding new jobs/content", it'd probably remain restricted to the current lcs casters (like they'd have Riv/all the NA people do PTL during the LCS seasons, but could then expand onto it in the offseason by having some of the part-timers like Azael/Dom Roamer,please to god not the latter as he annoys me almost as bad as phreak does, take over and cover off-season stuff). Then they could potentially add a bigger cast, give fans more things to watch (none of this "once LCS/worlds is over you don't hear from us at all" BS), and could slowly steal some of the "traffic" that goes to sites like espn/thescore to look up all of this info.

As far as fans creating their own content/having rito publish it, doing stuff like that is incredibly tricky both because of the amount of time/effort involved in legal paperwork (the writer usually has to sign a ton of forms that make the piece rito's but giving the writer a loyalty off of it), but also because I don't think they actually want a reading-based element to their stuff sans all the lore that they continuously retweak randomly. That isn't to say that fans shouldn't be inspired to do stuff like this, but if they do they'd probably be better served going to the likes of espn/thescore and potentially getting a job there.

Ultimately, Rito has to add some form of in-depth analysis thing to their LCS stuff before people will at all view it as anything related to a "sport". If you go on the nfl site, they have both statistics of individual teams and literally thousands of articles that allow you to know exactly how/why those stats are important. If you go onto the NHL site, it's clunkier but also gives you an exact idea of this stuff. Until any of this happens, fans will continue to view it as a "video game" and thus won't take it as seriously. It'll essentially be the equivalent of a kid standing on stilts inside of a trench-coat, trying to ride the roller coaster like all the other adults.
