There should be high school esport teams.

I wonder if there are any schools or any people interested in this or have tried to start this. I understand schools are against video games but the debate that video games are violent or an addiction with esports could be said with the same as sports like football. Things can get violent and people are addicted to the adrenaline or "fun" of the game.

There are clear distinctions between the two, but athletically speaking, I believe high school esports should exist.

They exist in high schools but they’re more like clubs than traditional sports. I think you’d be hard pressed to find a decent 5 man team from one high school. The games would be so lop-sided

Agreed on that one. It's pretty rare among high schools as well. I went to visit my old high school back in the spring and heard of a gaming club they had. About 12 people in which 8 were pretty fond of League. They would do Treeline games since they couldn't field 10 players. There was the team that was good and the team that kind of rolled over a bit. I didn't coach them but man I wanted to.
