Legit had to stop watching LCS today and yesterday because of how annoying the hecklers are with their ward cheering.
I'm trying to listen to the freaking commentary and it keeps getting broken into by a couple of jackasses yelling loudly every time someone clears a ward.
I feel sorry for the people in attendance who have to sit next to that crap. It's so insanely annoying.
It's funny in moderation, or for the circumstance. If your team is doing abysmal and then they clear a ward, then their fans cheer, it's funny. That's not what happens now.

I've noticed the "ward cheering" has been a bit loud and annoying but at the same time it has always been that way since I remember, especially in NA. I remember 2015 Worlds Krepo was commenting a game with C9/FNC - I THINK and a C9 player killed a ward and he was like " In EU we don't cheer for clearing wards" or something like that.

You have to thank early LoL E-sports for that. Specifically old CLG EU games which would often drag on for an hour or more, with so much positioning over baron vision and not a whole lot of fighting.
It got to the point where fans started cheering for ward kills because there was no action in the game
I could still hear the commentators even with the ward cheering.
I'd think they'd have gotten creative with Ooooh Ahhhh Oh HEY or something with every shot, hey being reserved for the destroying shot. But no.
