Legit had to stop watching LCS today and yesterday because of how annoying the hecklers are with their ward cheering.
I'm trying to listen to the freaking commentary and it keeps getting broken into by a couple of jackasses yelling loudly every time someone clears a ward.
I feel sorry for the people in attendance who have to sit next to that crap. It's so insanely annoying.
Battalion13 votesIt's funny in moderation, or for the circumstance. If your team is doing abysmal and then they clear a ward, then their fans cheer, it's funny. That's not what happens now.

Karunamon2 votesI'm pretty sure the mood was ruined by the guy suggesting the "waa" people (who were barely audible on stream) go stand in front of a bus. Thank god for that Undertale run to bring the mood back up!

I remember 2015 Worlds Krepo was commenting a game with C9/FNC - I THINK and a C9 player killed a ward and he was like " In EU we don't cheer for clearing wards" or something like that.

Ironic that he said it because the practice of ward cheering originated in EU. They don't do it any more but they also used to chant TSM in jest all the time when someone made a play. Oh and they used to yell STEEEEEEEEVE!!! Every time Steve was on screen.

Overall I don't find the chants "TSM", "STEVE", "Ward clearing" annoying as it's been around forever but I can see where some people can find it distracting.
DeusVult1 votesYou have to thank early LoL E-sports for that. Specifically old CLG EU games which would often drag on for an hour or more, with so much positioning over baron vision and not a whole lot of fighting.
It got to the point where fans started cheering for ward kills because there was no action in the game
