Anyways, it's fair to say that S3 5v5 meta was more balanced than the present one.

This meta is far more interesting than "which support gets caught first" though, to be honest.

I do agree with you, but I don't like rioters jumping on reddit and saying they did a good job balancing the game because during 2015 worlds more champions have been picked/banned than the previous years: if you release new champions, it's logical that the champion pool becomes larger. You need to put those numbers in relation, otherwise those stats are just misleading.

I just think Riot puts too much power into generalists. Thats it honestly. Some champions are just too safe to pick, so they get picked often.

Season five is doing well percentage wise then. Still lots of games to be played. And the better teams almost assuredly held their pocket picks out of groups if they could. Why do you think Fnatic had no priority around flex Kennen in the first week, where in week two it was very important to them? Not to waste the surprise for later (which backfired on them)

I'm not so sure that we're going to see many more champions at worlds: as some casters have already said, the worlds meta has been established. The most contested picks are the same every game and you can only build a finite amount of possible teams around them.
