Um, no. Koreans aren't taking gold medals in every Olympic event they participate in. Their work ethic isn't higher than professionals from other countries.

The reason Koreans dominate esports is because it's the country that has the highest % of interest in esports per capita. Korea is the first Country to have a major esports scene so their organization development is far beyond other countries. They have had a pro esports scene for over a decade starting with the original starcraft. A higher interest from the populace means a larger pool of people to pull talent. It means the events generate more revenue and allow more resources to be put into coaching, scouting and so forth.

Esports is to Korea as Rugby is to New Zealand. 46% of the New Zealand populace tune into rugby matchs and NZ absolutely demolishes every other country in Rugby.
