C9 will miss worlds

I understand Jack is in this for the long run and he needs to set a tone of what he wants his team to be... but this experiment is not working. The job of the team owner and coach is to put the best players on the rift that they have access to, and give them the best chance to win. Sorry to the academy guys, but Jenson+Sneaky+Smoothie are the better players at this time.

Don't get me wrong, I like Zayzel, I think he'll be a solid Support one day. Keith and Goldenglue are academy lifers at best.

Stop sandbagging this season. It's like Jack has /surrendered @15 with this game plan. I'll stick with C9 for now, but if I don't see an attempt to win, I can't support an org that doesn't even try.

tbh lol has switched to a real sports format and with that your gonna have younger years in which a team is trying to grow newer players hoping they have the potential to be better.

The first thing they say in the video is it's not about talent yet people keep complaining that they aren't putting the most talented roster out. Obviously there's other reasons why they were benched. Perhaps they weren't motivated enough or trying hard enough, or practicing enough or honing their skills on multiple champs. They weren't doing well in scrims and this is also the same team that got knocked out in QF of playoffs.. not exactly an impressive showing. i support the move if it lights a fire under their ass to strive to keep improving and realizing they need to fight to keep their roster spot. I think it will make the team better in the long run because I think Jensen and Sneaky are more talents players but they clearly had some issues NOT related to talent that hopefully this benching will fix.

As much talent as this C9 roster has had over the years they never won an NALCS split since Jensen took over and they've had mediocre showings at worlds (which admittedly is better than most other NA teams have done) for all the talent they have. It's being squandered somewhat and it's possible the players are partly to blame. The Org definitely shares some blame for fostering the meme culture so to speak but the players are responsible as well for how serious they take things and how much motivation and effort they are bringing as well.

Most of the fans are way too shortsighted to see anything beyond the lulz talent aspect of it but I think it was a gusty call and hopefully it works to make them better in the long run.

I think there's still plenty of time and the standings are close they aren't in dire straits yet and it'll be interesting to see how the changes this week affect them.

I'm not up to date on what the public knows, but didn't I hear that those academy team members were outperforming in scrims on their counterparts? Cause if that's true, Sneaky/Jensen/Smoothie may have done even worse on stage.

i agree they need to bring back the better players keep the original team ( sneaky-jensen-smoothie-lic-sven) and have a better game plan, or maybe its the coaching they need to replace. C9 has obviously made playoffs and worlds with the org team.

R.I.P. C9, you made me lose all interest in LCS. Congratulations on ruining your team.
