Don't pull a Huni

Haha pretty much. I wouldn't mind seeing the Shen picked a few times top. I'd prefer that on my team over Darius.

Huni managed to line up a gank early with jg support, but it just went to his head after that. So early game he was holding up really well against Gnar.

Well, you were right, eventually.

Although even in that game, I wouldn't say that Darius carried the game. Azir in particular did a lot to set up that penta. And the whole team had to play well or he never would have been in position to do it.

I doubt we'll see anyone else pick Yasuo into Darius for the rest of the tournament, though.

Call me crazy, but I think in a way, they won BECAUSE of how far behind Balls got with him. So many teams try to put Balls behind but he can still do something useful in a teamfight even when he's behind, so spending time on him is kind of a trap. When you put him on Darius, he becomes a huge magnet for enemy attention to try to push him down -- and it looks like it's working, Balls does fall behind in CS and exp, but then Sneaky and Incarnation just explode and win the game.

That's what makes Balls an underrated player IMO, his ability to contribute even when he is behind. He doesn't win his lane a lot -- but he doesn't need to. He allows the team to focus on other parts of the map and know that even underfarmed and underleveled, he will still be able to do something.

It's a style of play that is well suited to a team that doesn't want to focus their attention on the top lane.

Of course, they also had a fast turret taking comp (IIRC it was Tristana and Azir that game), which allowed Balls to catch up some with global gold too.

Yeah, actually the problem was TSM was running away from every teamfight, while Origen engaged. Didn't see TSM engage once if I remember correctly. And you don't pick Darius to disengage. Seemed like they couldn't play their own comp.
