But IEM is kind of a weird outlier case in terms of international tournaments in general since a lot of teams, even the Korean ones, don't take them very seriously and the quality of play isn't very solid. Hell, the team TSM beat twice to win the tournament was a last place team that ended up getting relegated in their division that season and IEM has weird, inconsistent rules about which teams can attend.

I'm just commenting on the general trend of how TSM and G2 both seem to hyper focus on being the "Kings of NA/EU" but then look utterly lost whenever they have to go up against different regional styles... and I see no signs that this is changing any time soon.
