it´s still some time, and at least they showed that they have big champion-pools on some members (hai/sneaky) and thus can play a lot of different strategies. I personally think TSM will be off a lot worse.

After those games against CLG, i couldn't agree more. TSM made waay too much mistakes and never punished CLG for theirs

Yeah i mean TSM is not a bad team by any strech of the imagination- i mean they are an LCS level team after all... it's just that they play far to reactively and try to punish other teams mistakes. And what happens when you face a team like SKT or fnatic that won't make those mistakes. A 0/5 dyrus at 20 is what's going to happen. Bjerg is good yes and turtle has his moment but 1/2 people cant carry a squad of 5 aginst teams that don't revolve around one or 2 people being good. No matter how good bjerg is in mid anyway faker is much better. Thats where c9, clg, and TL all have TSM beat right now is theyre not afraid to play non meta, to do things of their own initiative and try to make things happen without waiting for the other team to have time to analize it. That's why C9 has beat tsm here at the end of the split, they keep trying to make the same old thing work while c9 evolves and trys new things. (the shield the rengar/shyv comp prob wont work forever but im pretty sure c9 knows that even if it is fun to watch)

Honestly, I think TSM will do worse. C9 has shown a lot of variety and a lot of adaptability, and TSM has shown little of either.

Its likely C9 will have a rough group stage, but if they make it past that they have shown an incredible amount of tenacity in the past three days in Bo5s. That sort of tenacity will serve them well if they can make it further.

All of that said, of the NA/EU teams, Fnatic and Origen have the most potential to do anything of real merit. Especially Fnatic. If they were to win the entire tournament, I can honestly say I wouldn't be surprised.

Fnatic went 3-2 at the mid season invitational against SKT, which is probably the best team in the world at the moment, and that was without Rekkles who is without a doubt the best western ADC.

Origen gave Fnatic a run for their money in their best of 5 and both games they played against each other during the split.

I don't think it is likely that Fnatic will win the whole thing, but it is within the realm of possibility with how incredibly strong they've been in the past three months or so.

Mid season invitational isn't the same though. It would actually count this time around. Not saying the didn't try or anything, but I would expect a very different outcome. Not saying it won't happen, and to be honest I don't even follow E-Sports that much. I'm just saying Asian culture is much different than other people's, and it's the reason the win :)

I think you mean TSM. No, I think there is a decent chance C9 is stronger than TSM going into worlds. Both won 3 to 1 against TL, so they seem equal on that front, and C9 went 2 and 0 against them this split. Not saying there is solid proof that C9 is stronger than TSM right now, but if they played a best of 5, are you really certain TSM would win?

It kinda sucks that after that big crazy split of ups and downs we've had, we still have Cloud9 and TSM going to Worlds. Feels like we were cheated out of something interesting.

C9's only problem is 3rd seed. I think they are playing better then TSM atm.

CLG is our best hope, but I personally love watching C9 games. It doesnt matter who they face; the 10th team or the best team, the games are close, scrappy, and interesting to watch. As long as they can have a few performances like they did in this gauntlet, I'll be happy as a fan.

CLG is NA's best hope, and honestly, they looked pretty dang solid in the finals. I would be surprised if they didn't make it out of groups, unless the get placed in a insanely unlucky pool.

I dont't know...

That NA final was very bad for both team: they were more concerned With getting kills (AKA "who has the bigger dick")than with objectives. If they pull that stunt in world's, they'll fail miserably. I mean, 4 guys going after 1 guy through the jungle for almost a minute just to get ACE? :o

Maybe, but it is really hard to tell comparatively how the regions match up at this point. At the end of the day most of this is speculation, so we will have to see.

Remember 3/4 of the analyst desk at Season 3 world finals said Royal would beat SKT, and we all know how that ended. Not to mention TPA was the 11th rated team I believe, before they won the whole thing. So when the teams match-up anything CAN happen.

C9 will have by far the worst draw.. so I think this is to be expected. They are guaranteed to be in a group with a #1 seed from another region... If that region is Korea or China... well.. GL HF I guess.

I think c9's best placing will have Fnatic as their top seed. They probably have their best chances to take games off of Fnatic. Origen is overrated anyways. But who really knows. The only real constant is that Asian teams are going to perform well. Western teams are always wildcards. Some fall flat on their face, some rise to the occasion and over-perform to expectations. And, these always end up being the teams you dont expect.

Pick Fnatic among #1 pot teams is the worst thing that could happen, this means they would have more chance to get either #2 Korea or #2 China in their group, which would be a complete disaster. C9 is likely inferior to any team they can get in pot 1 including Fnatic, so the best thing would get #1 Korea or China - I'd say #1 China as EDG is probably more dangerous than #2 Korea - to have less chance to grab another team from a clearly superior region in pot 2
