We are aware of the issues with match quality and odd placements in flex. We have put a short term fix in place that should fix some but not all players MMRs. Unfortunately, to fix all players MMRs and correct the issue that's causing players to be seeded incorrectly will require a downtime event.
We are working through the best way to roll this fix out and you can expect additional details in the coming week.
for those who already are place in a div , like me , i played vs diamonds , lost , and finished 5-5 placed on bronze 1 beeing plat in solo/duoq?
Diamond at the end of season, went 6-4 in placements. placed bronze 1... are you fucking kidding riot???
I don't mind getting placed lower than where I ended, but when I have matches like:
Plat 4 (Me), Plat 1, Gold 3, Silver 1, Gold 5
VS
Dia 4, Dia 5, Plat 1, Plat 2, Plat 4
It kills any desire to play this queue, Ill just stick to normal draft till Solo Queue comes out.

The state of the flex que when it was released was a joke to be blunt with you Riot. How thoroughly did you guys test the platform before releasing it at the start of the year? The lack of forethought and mismanagement of the new flex que reflects on your end a gross dereliction of your duty to your community.
Last years Dynamic que "experiment" not only angered your community, as a whole the company did not own up to the mistake of changing system, until much later when it was becoming clear that your goals were not tenable and you conceded to change the Dynamic midway, but ultimately the whole thing ended in failure and you were forced to remove it completely. But right after that train wreck, we get the Flex Que debacle, which was an even bigger failure and it has only been out for a week....
These slew of misteps with regards to your managing the ranked system was not only poorly executed, it was incredibly sloppy. The fix for the problem should then address the problem in its entirety. A complete reset of EVERYONE's placements, make it so this nightmare ends and never happens ever again.
They aren't going to take responsibility for this screw up I hope you all realize that.
When their "Long term fix" is ready and applied a red is going to either come to this thread or make a new one and basically say "Welp we fixed it but we can't help those already affected by the error as the system is designed so we cant tamper with it. To all those who were effected by the error on our end, sorry, just deal with it"

Just got a Diamond LeBlanc as a B1 player after playing with golds and plats all day. Yeah.. this could use some work
I went from diamond 5 to silver 1 by going 5 - 5 i only play support and i get macthed with silver 3 adc's. How am i supposed to have synergy with him? It is not even his fault, he doesnt have to know how to push lane level 1 - 2 but if the enemy diamond duo Bot isn't completly boosted they will abuse him hard :(

Fixing the rank where you were placed it's ok but not even close to fix the true value of placements. What are you Riot gonna do about those games, me and many like me lost, because we play main support and get matched with a bronze 2 adc, against a team with 2 plat, or even higher, players? Hey... even gold players sh*t on any bronze adc. It is a lost game, but it could be way diferent if we were good matchmaked.
There is only one solution to this whole Flex Q Rank. After you are sure the matchmaking is fixed, you should do a full reset to Flex Q. And i hope we dont get this same problem on Solo/Duo Q.
Flex is broken, drafts are disabled, blinds are cancer... What are we supposed to play now? Arams?
Imho you should close the flexQ, reset the elo gained in that Q, then restart with the 10 placement matches. Even if this will close the ranks for weeks. Actually the qualitiy of the games is so poor cause people coming from different divisions (even plats with bronzes) are playing in the same match starting from flex's bronze4. Personally, as a support main, it was a pain during the placements play with silver adc who didn't know how to position themselves ignoring all team pings c:
new fix , didnt fix anything i got placed b2 paying with plats golds and after the fix i got demoted to b5 and i won 6/10 placements with high gold plats... seems legit i wonder .. if i had lost 10/10 placements vs bronze players would the game automatically delete itself of my pc ?
whats going to happen to people who where placed ? i went 5 and 5 against diamonds and plats almost everygame , and i got b2 , really dont thinks thats well fair. its really broken, you guys do this everytime you mess with ranked , everytime u fix it so its decent u make it worst and not worst for everyone u make it worse for the low elo players that dont stand a chance against the high elo players. i watched hours of streams where bronze ,silver and gold players just getting shit on game after game by diamond and up players. all i want is for you to please for the love of good fix this shit , reset again and let people redo their placements so we get proper games and a proper rank. rito please just do something thats for the average player and not for the high elo players and pros. the majority of the game is low elo players help us out , make the game fun again. #MakeLeagueGreatAgain no memes no troll help the low elo guys and gals out fix the dam ranked system .

Since everything is so messed up, why hasn't ranked play been pulled for the time being. I mean, telling us a temp fix has solved some of the problem doesn't really say much. Will there be a soft reset, a hard reset, any reset? Is flex just screwed this season? How about some real info so we don't waste time playing ranked if it has no meaning atm?
ok im not mad in just confused. i went 8 and 2 in promos and you guys placed me in plat 2 ok whatever. then i presead to not lose a single game getting 12 lp a game and won my promos to plat 1 without any loses, then after i win them you place me back a entire divison into gold 3...... im 18 and 4 and solo carry almost every game. like i dont understand why u put me into gold again after i just proved i could climb out of plat with shitty mmr but uhhh you do u riot

What the heck!I'm silver 4 in solo but tried flex and went 8-2 before "fix" and got silver 1 but after "fix" today I get 8-2 again but BRONZE 1.I'm done.
i got placed in bronze 1.... and i've been diamond 2 seasons in a row.
I went 8/2 in placements winning against mostly gold silver and one or two plat players and got placed bronze 5 soo idk these placements are weird a few friends of mine are livid about it and some have stopped playing because of their placements

Season 6, I'm bronze 2 rn. (ik it sad) but recently I played 10 game of flex with 7w and 3l. But then got place on bronze 4..... I was planning on actually doing rank this year but then I got demoted for a positive streak. Is this accurate?
S6 was s3, only 40 games or so, around 70% winrate. played placements went 6-4, got s4... XD?
