remove the ability to vote on posts from the main boards page.

seriously, what does this do except encourage mindless downvoting of things you haven't even read. the ability to up or downvote a post should be exclusive to those who have at least entered the page and preferably spent an amount of time actually READING. that would cut down on the boards being full of "thoughtful idea post #234" having 12 views and 75 downvotes while "LOL MFW YOU DONE reused meme of the hour #7654" having so many upvotes.

You do realize you can read a decent portion (sometimes all) of the post from the main Boards page and vote accurately, right?

I do tend to think the best of others, as most of the time it's better than the alternative.

If you think people can't think rationally and independently then you don't expect any comments and ignore votes all together. Clearly you think rational discussions can happen here, otherwise you wouldn't make this post.

they can happen. it just takes a load of work and/or waiting first. I've had so many posts people didn't visit but downvoted based on a single word in my post, such as a champion name or theme (rework, suggestion, bug) as a general rule. you can even see here people are downvoting something so simply obvious such as "people should have to READ the post before they pass even the shallowest of judgements on it."
