It's pretty simple actually; the concept is that you, the community, get to create your own 5-man team of champs that will be competing against each other in a
vicious, no-holds barred deathmatchfriendly boards competition!How's it work tho?
The tournament will be using a single-elim format (bracket style), with initial seeding randomly generated by computer.
Either an individual or a group*, submits their team comp here on this post for entry into the tournament.
Every week, two teams will face off right here in the Gameplay boards, on a specially crafted "Battle Post".
On the Battle Post, everyone will get a chance to cast their vote on which team they think will / want to win.
The highest voted team comp for that week wins the matchup and moves on to the next round.
At the end of the tournament, only one person's(or group's) fantasy team comp will become the reigning champion for the season!
NEW! The winners will receive A REAL PRIZE WORTH $$$ (details further below).
*CLARIFICATION: If you decide to form an alliance/group with other board members, I'll allow a representative to submit your group's fantasy team comp submission for entry in the tournament.
This means, for example, you can get together to represent each board with an entry to the tournament, e.g. Gameplay Board vs GD Board, or even better... Boards' Community vs. Riot's Employees >:)

So a recent thread somewhere in the Gameplay boards discussing unique/funny/ridiculous team comps gave me this idea; making a "Fantasy Tournament" revolving around theoretical team compositions, for everyone to participate in and have fun with!
Hopefully it'll not only provide some board-wide community entertainment, but also be educational for players as well -- as a way to showcase off-builds, different meta/non-meta comps, get more players involved in theorycrafting, etc.
If this takes off with enough participants and input from the forum goers, I hope to expand on the the tournament with more "flare" and details in the upcoming weeks (and even future events).

All you need to do is come up with your champion composition for your team(s) and reply to this post by May 28th 11:59PM EST, and you will automatically be entered into the tournament.
Just make sure you follow the rules and guidelines set forth below, and please only one comment reply per entry. I will ignore users that make multiple comments with team comps.
If you want to coordinate an alliance/group with other forum members (restrictions apply), please do so separately in a different post or something.
Also please keep non-tournament related comments on this post to a minimum so the post isn't cluttered up, thank you.

#The Rules / Guidelines (IMPORTANT TO READ)
The tournament will be done in a single-elim bracket format (# of participating teams TBD). Additionally, the standard 5v5 LoL Ranked Draft Mode is our foundation, so there are a few things to keep in mind:
Everyone is free to enter and participate, and you can form groups/alliances as well. -If you and some of your buddies want to "flex mode" the tourney, that's cool too. Just remember, only four(4) players per group. I'm not made of money, ya know.
You are allowed to enter up to 3 unique team comps, but only one will be chosen per participant/group. -So make only one comment reply here with up to three different team comps, but only one will be randomly selected.
Each team comp submitted must have a unique team name (and also be "board rule friendly"). -Try to make them fun and interesting -- no racist, homophobic, insulting or vulgar names, cause #WeAreBetterThanThat.
No duplicate champs in a single team comp submission. -This means no 5-man Yasuo team comps plz; although it's OK to have one Yasuo in three different team comps though (You tryhard you).
In the event that any two competing teams have one or more duplicate champions, those champion(s) will be considered "null". -So let's say "Team X" has Yasuo, and the competing "Team Y" has Yasuo; then it's basically 4v4 and no Yasuo.
All matches are considered to last / have lasted no longer than 35 minutes. -No infinite doge stacks!
Each champion in the teams are considered to already be lvl 18, with no limit on gold for itemization purchases. -Makes everything uniform/fair across all teams; now your support CAN has full build!
There's no such thing as pick/ban phase; all champions/items are at your disposal. -It's a "first come first serve" rule, so if someone else already submitted their team comp and it's the same as yours, too bad. So sad.
