Can we just make a Shaco megathread and be done with this?
We've had a ton of shaco threads in Gameplay lately that get cross posted across multiple discords and subreddits. Normally this wouldn't be an issue except how hostile these threads are getting and how any real discussion is completely shut down.
Comments fall into three sections:
-
Suggest a buff or imply shaco is weak: automatically upvoted
-
Disagree in any way: automatically downvoted into the dirt
-
Throw insults at people who disagree: automatically upvoted
We're getting a couple of them a week now and every single one is the same shtick. We had this problem with r/rengarmains 2 years ago and the solution was to get some of the more calm, level-headed Rengar mains get together to make one centralized megathread and pin it to Gameplay for a week. The centralization allowed it to be moderated more easily instead of these flash mob style threads that are too far gone before moderation can react. This format allowed for more civil discussion and even got a response from the lead of the Rengar rework team. These flash mob style ones that keep popping up are far too hostile minefields that could never dream of getting a red response or rational discussion.
Can we do this again? It's getting out of hand
