Upvotes/downvotes dont justify a players thread on the boards at all
I will use the most recent
hot-fix as an example.. i got into one ranked match and the opposing jungler happened to be Nunu, it was first time of me encountering him this patch. So i lost but i lost knowing that something most certainly not right about him, to sum it up he was far over tuned and i knew it just from years of playing game, that combined with my own reasoning as i tried to pick up the pieces. (i reflected on my lost match.) So i took my feelings to the boards with the general idea of "He is outrageous, do something about it." and the community automatically took it as a biased opinion, now you can say that is highly presumptuous of me right? well the vote system does just that it allows the outside to be presumptuous and ignorant, the numbers shown throw like a shroud over the players threads giving the false impression that the entire consensus agrees based on wither that vote number is positive or negative. As a whole the correct message that needs to be delivered can possibly never be shown in light.
My thread was down-voted lol and Nunu was hotfixed TODAY of january 26th so the issue isn't me being actually right its the misconception the vote numbers give towards the community as a whole. It makes you triple guess if the message is right or wrong. Now if you go to the "HOT" thread page you'll see another thread which is directly related to the idea of Nunu being OP this patch and how people hate Riots balance team because of situations like this Nunu case here.
When you have 2 threads that go along with the same idea with such a vast difference in votes it just shows how unreliable voting really is.
