Why did Riot remove Kha Zix's W slow?

Like...just why?? Just played Kha Zix for the first few times in ages and omggg this change feels sooooo bad. Kha Zix has long cast animations as is, and without the slow literally everything escapes from you lmfao. Felt like I was playing a juggernaut instead of an assassin, I laid down early pressure out of old habit, sure, but then I realised why it had been so mind numbingly difficult to do so when I realised his W slow was gone. Like wat, a squishy meele caster without slows? You love ranged champions that much Rito?
