Banned two weeks for quoting someone

Because “I should know better” than to say something another user said straight back to them.

The best part? The other users comment wasn’t even removed, even though it said the same thing that supposedly got me a two week ban.

Either the moderator who removed my post messed up, or the moderators aren’t trained appropriately. If they can’t look and see that I flat out quoted the other user in the response.... What I think really happened is that they didn’t like that I kept pointing out their failures, so they used this as an excuse to ban me for two weeks. Funny how they’re still “talking about” removing voting months later. Seems more like they aren’t talking - it doesn’t take this long to make a decision that is obviously correct and implement it.

Oh, and due to the issues, I can’t even go back to see the removal message or grab the link to it. I know this isn’t the moderators fault it just makes it much harder to expose this horrible action.

This is simply not true. Your removal was for quoting someone calling you an idiot and calling them an idiot back. That falls under the Golden Rule as well as the rules regarding Facilitate Civil Discussion. Normally a removal like this would be minimal, but given your very high removal count as well as several bans for similar behavior, it's pretty clear that you are not planning on changing your behavior. The two week ban is your final warning to start being more respectful and civil towards others.

The comment you replied to was removed as well so do not spread false information regarding this. This is the thread in question for reference -- https://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/general-discussion/YOaGfhPK.

Was the original thing that was said itself an infraction worthy of such a heavy punishment? Were you quoting it back at the person who first said it merely so that your reply would have context, or in an attempt to throw their words back at them?

That said, moderation is so broken that it's basically gaslighting and I'm surprised anyone's still here.

You don't get banned unless you are consistently toxic. You can't say you quoted someone to try to justify what you said.
