So, you want the boards to not be a bullshit echo chamber

Like I said in Riot August's stream, taking the time to look for good posts and providing feedback will breed other posts of the same caliber. You have to feed eagles and starve turkeys. Saying the boards are shit then just lurking in them ISNT community involvement. Try this:

-AMAs with different team members -direct, concise, and honest answers to why the teams approached nerfs/buffs/reworks/lore changes/ranked changed the way they did -RESPOND to well thought out and well constructed posts, and IGNORE the flame, anger-fueled bullshit. -Be willing to accept criticism without subtweeting us and expressing your "frustration"with our reaction to your decisions. You're all professionals, act like it. -Be legitimately thankful, not just damage control thankfulness, that you have a community that gives a damn.

Imo it's a moderation problem. The moderators leave too many off topic or spam posts up in the guise of "not silencing difference of opinion". Hijacking riot threads or hijacking replies to threads is super common and makes it hard for Rioters to sift through notifications.

My question is, why can Mods not pin good constructive feed back and informative posts to the front few pages when they see them? Once a riot employee gives feed back then unpin it from the front page and if the conversation stays in a good direction or keeps going, we do have a search function to go right back to that post to keep up with it or keep it going. I feel like this would make it a bit easier for both the community and riot to keep a open line of communication. It would also set a standard of the types of post riot will reply to and be part of.

"Give not the answers you have, but the answers we think you REALLY have. Anything else that doesn't match our projecting will be treated as lies"

-RESPOND to well thought out and well constructed posts, and IGNORE the flame, anger-fueled bullshit.

"Waste time to scroll through pages and pages of anger-fueled upvoted bullshit to find like one-two well-constructed posts that are downvoted so hard they are hidden"

-Be willing to accept criticism without subtweeting us and expressing your "frustration"with our reaction to your decisions. You're all professionals, act like it.

"Don't you dare ignore us. Take in all the shit we throw at you and smile".

Creating 50 "OMG Riot kill yourselves" threads doesn't equal giving a damn.

They already do this, but when someone just dont like the changes it won't be any justification good enough for them. And being honest their balance team work a lot to make a better and balanced game (despite the horrible response they receive from he community), we could be more grateful for this. Making changes every week is not something you see in any game.

They are. But everyone forgets pretty fast.

Riot lacks communication with the boards. Plus, this would mean Rioters would be accountable for balance changes, which won't happen.

They won't do it.

There are a few really good threads out there. I don't understand why no one at Riot goes into discussion with the members sometime. It feels like no one ever look at these boards/good threads and they all give a shit.

Rioters did at one point did do all points you have mentioned.

They tried time and time again with this community and it absolutely shat on them at every turn.

I miss the days of riot involvement in these boards I truly do but we are at fault for all of this.

If we want these boards to change we have to hold ourselves and our peers on this board accountable.
