Two suggestions to help calm the boards down

  1. Stop making new subcategories for people to post the same shit that they're going to end up posting on every other board anyway. I just noticed that there's a new "RANT" board (which i just noticed replaced gameplay+ lul called it) ... Why not just give people & mods, the ability to tag posts with different labels (that you control) in order to categorize different posts? But no shady shit with shadow labels and I'd even go as far as to say only make the labels neutral categorization terms that encompass the good and bad content of that category "Gameplay", "Boards", "Creative", exc. E.g. No labels like "toxic" or "rant" that mods could slap onto posts to label them as "avoid"

Then just allow people to search via those tags.

  1. Add in a system which will identify which posts the Rioters have viewed. It doesn't necessarily need to give too much information about which rioter(s) has seen it or how many (we don't want people trying to farm rioter views). Only that it's been noticed. This is part of the reason why you keep getting increasingly inflammatory content. There's zero body language style feedback, meaning there's no way to know if you're being heard unless you elicit enough of an emotional response to get a comment out of them.

This effectively works as a kind of non-verbal feedback to people which isn't easily conveyed over internet text posts.

I like the 2nd point suggestion.

To also add, not only rioters but also users like mods, heralds, etc. Probably leave options you want on who saw it.

The label idea and the second idea are both things that require back-end coding which we can't really do at the moment from what I know. I can ask our local Wuks about it but I'm not very sure if it's possible at this time (even if it would definitely be beneficial).
