Boards mods...

I got punished for a post I made weeks ago, posts removed of which were the same nature as to which they responded(some of which being literal copies and posts but with "you" replacing any insult made towards me).

There's no other conclusion that can be made besides the boards mods are seriously disallowing anything that disagrees with what they believe... I got punished for "Being rude to other members of the community" when I posted that a character was written poorly.

That's an obvious stretch to any sane human being.

So, looking into your removed content, the difference between "fucking straight people" as an exasperated comment and "fucking gay people" as an exasperated comment is zero here -- neither is okay. It's possible it was missed, it's possible it wasn't reported, or it's possible a mistake was made, but the correct resolution is to post here inquiring or come onto the Discord, not make a political/social post about how long what sexual orientations have oppressed the same or other sexual orientations.

Your Neeko post was also not removed as a result of you saying she was poorly written, but due to you being insulting to other players in the following lines:

oh right but criticizing anything "LGBT" is now "homophobic" because the computer programmed you this way

side note

i really wish there was a way to discuss things with MODS or individual people on here with out posting in public form. Something like a direct message system. I know that you cant make that happen by yourself but maybe you could help get the ball rolling?

We do not have the ability to add that to the boards at this time, which is why the Moderation Discord exists. I'm afraid that -- for the foreseeable future -- that is the best and only real way to contact us privately.

yea i didnt have any luck in the past trying to use discord. and hate the fact have to use a 3rd party site/tech to be able to do so. but ya know riot is just a small indie company

Set low expectations first. Like maybe the Boards Profile description "Change your look" will be made real - or at least changed to reflect what it actually does.

Don't want to derail the thread, but I had a TON of trouble getting Discord to work for me initially. In fact, it took many hours of trying to figure some stuff out before I was able to create my account for Mod purposes. What's the main problem?

Same experience when I tried the discord. I got banned for "spamming" when I was just typing normally to people. The mods on there are pretty terrible since they have no accountability.

Well considering my post got removed but the first one didn't yet they were BOTH RIGHT NEXT TO EACHOTHER and there is no possible way to see the post I sent and not also see the first post, yeah that's not equal rules for everyone. If it was missed that says more bad things about the moderation team on the boards...

If a post that's reported is clearly removable without additional context needed (and insults are), it may be handled solely through the back end, so the other posts may not be seen. If you see something you dislike, report it or come to Discord to discuss it and we'll get eyes on it.

Those following lines were in response to someone. That someone didn't get their post removed yet mine got removed(before the thread itself was removed).

We don't always hit everything at the same time, nor am I able to actually see precisely which comment you were responding to at the moment.
