Why remove my comments for "harassment and insults"?

If this qualifies as harassment and insults then I'd rather have some new mods here. Quoting someone isn't harassment, asking a question to verify if we're talking about the same person is not an insult. You wanna know what's harassment? If I followed this person via their profile to insult them on every comment/post they made. Wanna know what's an insult? If I said something like "You don't even play League because you're shit at this game", which I wouldn't do, but apparently this is just as bad 🤷‍♂️ not gonna name anyone, mod or poster, but I think it's time someone reevaluates some of the mods and how they handle some of the posters on here.

From the context it's pretty clear that you're basically playing a game of "let's call out a specific boards member without saying their name" with another poster, which isn't something that is really okay here.

The Naming & Shaming rule doesn't actually require you to name a specific person, and using other identifiers in an attempt to identify a single person for negative purposes falls into the category of naming/shaming.

I'm not sure I'd have called this harassment personally (I'd probably have cited the Naming & Shaming rule), but I can't say I think the removal was incorrect.

This just sounds like an abuse of power to me Ain't said a name, same with why when people ask if people should get reported they shouldn't show the name of the persons involved and just let it be actions that dictate

No personal attack happened here and if someone interrupts it as a personal attack they should probably consider why they're taking it as a personal slight

Like if someone says "You know that one guy who always summoner 4 into the enemy team and feeds first blood" Is open ended and could refer to anyone, if one person takes it as talking about them thats their problem to deal with

Mods abuse their power. Some things never change.

I wonder if your post would have been removed if it were not referring to someone who was formerly a "specialist". I have to say I doubt it.

This removal was a total joke.

Where exactly is the "shame" about a sentence like "waiting for someone saying everything is fine"? Where is the offence, exactly?

I thought it was a joke, at first.

Can someone take the risk and tell me who they are talking about?

I agree whole heartily, logged into league to get a msg about receiving a punishment for negative behavior (don't even know what it was, expire before it ever affected me) when the most questionable thing I did was tell two people to "chill out, grow up, and stop fighting" cause they were bickering and fighting about K/D/A ratios if thats punishable then I'm done with these snowflakes

Just from a third person's perspective, reading the first few posts made me realize that you guys are going around in circles. Asking the same question, getting the same answer. In short, the naming and shaming rule does apply there because everyone does find out who it is. Once the person in question pops out to defend himself.

Its just a rule and the mod is doing his job. I dislike the 'Naming & Shaming' rule because some people really deserve to be banished to the abyss for the things that they do on the Rift. However, its not upto me to decide the rules. So while I do sympathize with the OP, I can understand why the mod had a valid reason for removing that post.

Honestly... any moderation of forum comments is hilarious to me. But we live in a "care bear hold my hand mommy because the internet made fun of me" world.

Its the care bear countdown. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.

I posted a thread about the Rules and how they are open to abuse by favoritism. I think the Rules, as they are, are impossible to use. They are very much geared towards making favoritism the way to choose who is punished and who is not.

If you check the level of threads and posts that actually violate the rules it is somewhere over 70% because the rules are so vague and open they allow people to make decisions based on who reported it, how many downvotes they have and such.

There is no consistency because the Rules do not require consistency and it is clear in the way things are handled.

Oh yeah... And it was instantly downvoted, in a sub-forum that is meant for Mods to respond to... :D It proves my point perfectly. The same group of people who hate you follow you around and abuse the rules in a way that prevents them from getting punished while being protected by moderators.
