Now that GD is visible on the front page...

I feel this would be a perfect time to experiment with new systems for giving other boards more visibility.

Its only been a few hours now, and GD is already challenging M&G for most used sub board. Sure, this is a new experience, and hype will die down in a few days, but with Gameplay, M&G, and now GD all competing for spots on the front page, other less popular sub boards are going to suffer.

SA&S will only surge when something new comes out, C&C may die off again right after seeing new life breathed into it, and all others will barely make any mark whatsoever.

Because of this, I honestly feel that this was a bad move made by the mods. I understand that Misc. was a dead board, but this course of action may just make more dead boards in the long run, unless you guys have plans to follow this up with something new.

So, I want to say that the front page should not be the culmination of the most popular things in each sub-board. But instead, be more like a doorway to every sub-board, kind of like a train depot that lets you get on any train for free. You find out where you end up, and see if you like the community there. If not, go back to the depot, and check out another community.

If something like that isn't maxe, I don't see how any lesser sub-board will be able to grow with the addition of GD.
