Cannot log onto the NA server

When I try to log on to the NA server, I either get a Log In Queue telling me to wait 40 mins, which then only leads to it telling me I have a connection issue, or I am told the server is busy.

Thank you for going offline on Sunday evening, the perfect time for me to play. Thank you very much.

EDIT: This is about.... thirty minutes to an hour after I posted this. Now, I get a wait time of about 7 minutes and then I'm stuck at one second... Forever in the login queue. Love it.

Riot are working on the Login Queue as we speak:

Network Operations We are aware that there is a login queue and we working to drain it and let players on.

You can find the latest status at http://status.leagueoflegends.com - all I can advise at this point is to keep trying. Sorry for the hassle :-(

Same I'm at approximate wait time less than 1 second, and at queue spot over 20k? I don't understand the point of a login queue display if its never accurate, might as well just say connecting....connecting....connecting.... over and over again it would probably be more accurate and less rage inducing.

I think the biggest pain is being rejected for "connection issues" after you've waited. What's the point of the queue if not to let everyone who is queued log in?
