It seems like i disconnect in champ select every once in a while..

Every 10-15 games or so i just get dodged from champ select. I didn't close client, i didn't lose internet... Champ selection timers just run down to 0, and if this continues during the time where im supposed to pick, well, i don't even get the chance to select my champion, and get dodged. Sometimes the client reconnects and displays a message about a connection timeout.

Is there a simple fix for this connection timeout in champ select? This almost costed me my promos.

Maybe your comp is over-heating from playing too long, and needs to cool down first. Try after playing about 4-5 games, close League so your comp can cool down a bit before playing again. It's also good to take breaks every couple of games or so.
