I'll be running from a champion (my back turned to them) and ult. when near a wall. Amazingly, instead of going over the wall, the game randomly turns WW around and makes him ult. to the champion behind me. This is hilariously bad and caused me to lose a lot of games. It's the worst bug I've ever experienced on a champion. It's not like WW's ult. is point and click or area of effect. It doesn't make sense for him to ult. opposite of the direction of my mouse.
I have used the ult to run away before. But if you have matches get the video replays of them.
These type of reports (direction bug) are usually debunked after observing videos of the player whose cursor is visible.
Since there is no video, and your post include little information, this report cannot exclude the possibility of human error. In this case, the error is that you may have pointed your cursor over a champion portrait, possibly your own (most people experiencing this failure tend to shoot directly behind themselves after hovering over their own portrait in the HUD). After you use your ultimate while your cursor is on yourself, your ability will activate toward the opposite direction of where your champion is facing.
