So, this doesn't always happen, and I have no idea what causes it, but say I've played a few games and want to take a break, play something else. I hit the X button the client, but no prompt to close the game comes up. I'm forced to right-click the icon on my task bar and close it that way.

Having the same issue. In the last week the X at the top right of the client has only worked for me once.
Had to google to figure this out. Still cant. Found this post. No Solution to this I'm guessing. Just have to Force close from now on. [zombie-nunu-bummed]
I am having the same issue as well.
Side note: Some other buttons are not working from time to time such as the lock in champion select button. I clicked it about 5 times and it graphically depressed but reverted to the lock in button and I got a 5 min ban :(
Same problem. Watching youtube, go to click on my champ to ban and the orange ban button doesn't light up no matter who I click on to ban. Then I get kicked from queue. 5 min ban and then to rub salt in the wound the game client will not close if I try to press the X in the top right.
This is a pretty major bug to have been reported 2 months ago and received no response even though it's still happening.
This is happening to me still and has been happening for several patches. Also cannot remove people from my friends list, block them, etc. Basically anything that requires me to hit a yes/no confirmation prompt doesn't work. Super Necro.

This is still happening. Its random too. Is anyone from Riot gonna respond to this bug or What?
Same issue happening here aswell, not matter how many times I press the "x" button, nothing happens and the client stays open. As if Riot wants me to keep playing.
