So I just tried to open league, but malwarebytes keeps giving me a threat detected and prevents league from opening. I just played league an hour ago. Has this happened to anyone else? Is it safe to exclude league if this is happening?

This is a false positive that has been introduced by the latest Malwarebytes definitions update, there is no malware in the launcher. Im working with MWB now to get it resolved and have the false positive removed. It could take up to 24 Hours though once they get it sorted so, youre going to have to bear with us.
As a short term workaround you can whitelist the Riot Games folder in the malwarebytes configuration settings, this will stop it scanning the folder.

I have the same problem, i just went ahead and added my League of Legends file under exclusions on my Malwarebytes to by pass this, im not advising you do this tho, because for whatever reason Malwarebytes might be blocking League of Legends from working might be a legitimate reason.
