Do minions deal true damage?

In the chaos of a teamfight, I ran low on health and flashed away only to get finished off by a ranged minion. I look at the death recap and it said it did 1% true damage. Did they change minions damage to where they deal partial true damage or is this a bug with the death recap? If they do deal true damage, that's really dumb because there are already enough true damage things in the game.
