[Client] Update scanning files in infinite loop

This is the third time this has happened to me now (each of the last 3 patches). What seems to happen is I'll download the patch fine. I'll come back online later and the client won't have recognized that I already downloaded the patch possibly? Anyways, it gets stuck at 33% and is scanning files (and just keeps climbing up to higher and higher numbers, to an unreasonable point where League clearly doesn't have this many files on my computer!). The first two times I just exited and restarted my computer and then the game loaded without updating (as I had done it earlier). This time, I restarted and tried again but it keeps doing the same. I can't launch League because it keeps scanning files, presumably in some cycle where it never finishes looking.

EDIT: I've had some success in deleting the "file archives" folder deep in the file directories (do a search, you'll find boards with instructions). I think the problem may be that your computer can't find anything that needs to be changed and by deleting some files it recognizes that it needs to replace those so it manages to proceed. Not sure if deleting any random file would work though, so look up advice on the file path for "file archives".
