Sometimes free camera stay on and locked cam won't work at all

So, sometimes, when I turn on free camera, it stays on and I can't go to locked camera anymore. Even if I press Y, space, or even click on the logo at the bottom of the screen. This is really annoying, as it has happened like three times in the past two days now.
