Ekko, Is this a bug or how he is suppose to work?

So been trying to figure this out for a while now. Is the Ekko "ghost" disappearing/reappearing thing a bug or how it is suppose to work??

In case you are unaware of what i am talking about, currently Ekko has an issue where his "ghost" trail will disappear about .25-.5 seconds after you lose sight of him. It will also usually take about the same amount of time for the trail to reappear once you regain sight of him. This causes little windows where you can't be 100% sure where his trail start and ends.

I am fine with losing sight of the trail if you go into a bush or something that i don't have vision of, or not being able to see the whole trail if part of it is out of vision range. But why do i lose his whole trail and not just the part where i lost vision? Also why does it take a moment to regain vision of his trail once i can see him again?

that's how it's supposed to be, you cannot see the trail/ghost if you lose vision of the actual player, otherwise it would be too easy to track him because of the possibly-absurdly-long-trail that he can leave behind as it would be able to tell you if he's hiding in the brush or if he's recently been somewhere.
