computer freeze and black home screen

right after i log in league freezes my computer for about 10-15 seconds and everything looks black on the home screen.

I am having a similar problem league freezes and gives me the black screen as well but it just stays that way in that frozen state

I'm having a similar issue, but my computer just locks up entirely. The sound still works, but all the visuals freeze and Ctrl-Alt-Del isn't responsive.

Same here. At first i thought that it's Windows 8.1 fault, but it's still doesn't work when I'm running LoL in compatibility with win 7. Computer freezes completely, have to restart it. halp plox

I am having this issue too. I don't know whats going on. But I have the rest of tonight and tomorrow off, so this is going to need to fix itself realfast.

Did you try repairing the client?

I have the issue, I just click on one of the areas a bunch until my PC freezes up, wait about 30 seconds and it always unfreezes and lets me play. I don't think it's healthy for my PC though.

I have the same problem but my screen is just black, nothing else.
