Zhonyas still cancelling brand ulti

Thats Frosty··1 votes·877 views

just had it happen 2 games in a row where if you activate zhonyas just before the the first bounce hits the champ the spell fizzles out completely. Its getting highly annoying since people are now abusing this. One of two things is happening from what I can see

A. The spell is just being cancelled regardless if someone would be in bounce range B. The spell fizzles because no secondary target is in the initial cast range of brand ulti

Thats kinda the point, its no different than Viegar, if he uses it and you zhonyas, its entirely negated and it is still on CD. Brand it has to be since if he gets off a good ult, that alone can win a teamfight. With how Brand is right now, his ult+burn+Liandry is over halfing people not tanks minimum, and thats if it hits someone only once.

It isn't a bug, its counterplay to a point and click powerful spell.

you dont read patch notes do you. this was a couple patches back

R - Pyroclasm NEW NO STOPPING ME If Pyroclasm's original target becomes untargetable during its travel time, it will seek out a different target rather than just fizzling out on the spot

Yeah, meaning the next target was out of range so it fizzles. If someone Zhonya's, it doesn't magically give Brand's ult its full range back from the point it's already at, if it's out of range it just fizzles.

It's working as intended.

I dont believe its working as intended because the initial problem everyone complained about was brands ulti being cancelled by zhonyas, if the target is immune and someone is close enough for it to bounce to, the spell should hit instead of being fizzled out. With that you just said you're basically saying Riot made a redundant change that doesnt actually counteract the initial problem in the first place

I apologize then, I do read patch notes but not entirely, usually just the major parts. Was there another target nearby? Since I am guessing it doesn't get its full range like when casted but only the bounce range. Otherwise it may just be buggy since that isn't really an easy to do spell, since it has randomness into it.

there were targets in the bounce range but not within my ultis initial cast range
