Can't log in, endless loop when opening client (details)

Steps:

  1. Open client

  2. Client begins to load as normal

  3. Upon reaching login screen, see message "We have restored this installation to an older version of League of Legends. Now we'll try to patch it up to the latest version."

  4. Click OKAY, and then immediately another box appears saying "There was a problem Patching League of Legends. We'll restore a backup version and try updating again after you restart the patcher."

  5. Click RESTART, client immediately closes.

  6. Repeat steps 2 through 5 in an endless loop

Same thing happened to me. I even deleted the game and reinstalled it 3 times and the same problem occurs.

Honestly, how does this stuff happen? Like, you would have to try hard to make something like this happen. Maybe it's part of North Korea's imminent attack on South Korea???

im stuck on a endless loop as well can only assume league is having problems..
