I thought a part of the legendary skins was they had special icons on the mini map. Maybe I'm wrong but I thought they got their original splashed chanced with the face of the legendary splash.

Ultimate skins don't get special mini map icons, but they do get a special portrait image (the skin's splash art) in the bottom left of the screen.
