Ahri charm can cancel Jarvan's Cataclysm

I was playing a game yesterday as J4 jungling vs an Ahri mid. At one point I used my ult and she charmed me while I was in the air, and it canceled my ult, went on cooldown, gave no damage, no terrain, but it gave the option to cancel the terrain (icon was glowing), however nothing happened if I pressed R again.

So I didn't get any damage, didn't get the terrain, but it still went on its full cooldown. And the Ahri said that she has done that before to a J4.

Not sure if an actual glitch or intended, but either way it's pretty dumb.
