Azir tower rapid fire bug?

I was playing ARAM as a Rammus and at the end of the game in the last fight, Azir's tower goes full rapid fire and melts through me. I hear the tower alert noise like 30 times in the second it took to kill me. I had 300 something MR and a lot of health, and from earlier fights I never was killed that fast unless their Cho'Gath ulted me, which he did not do in that last fight. Even the death recap window said none of the three champions (which Azir was not one of btw) really did more than 300 or so damage. So I was most likely killed by the tower glitching out and spamming shots at me.

If it helps, no visual shots were fired either from the tower. Just the noise and then immediate damage.
