Mundo Gets AP from Domination Secondary

If I buy an AP item like Liandrys, I also get the AP bonus from Domination. Mundo has literally no AP ratio of any kind. It makes no sense for me to get bonus AP even if I buy something that happens to have wasted AP stats.

Thing is that the rune reacts on what you build and not the champion itself.
