Hail of Arrows (Varus E) kills target dummies

I'm quite certain it's not Blight that's killing them, since I am popping it with Q and R and it doesn't seem to be killing them. Upon further examination, Hail of Arrows itself isn't what's killing them, but it seems that for some reason being on the Desecrated ground it leaves behind turns off their invulnerability.
