Aatrox Bug

I main Aatrox. 2 things I have noticed

1)When Garen, or anyone else, silences me, my auto attacking stops. I emailed Riot who said that silencing shouldn't stop auto attacks. Is it because Aatrox's auto attacks are linked to his passive W? If so, shouldn't he just not get the 3rd hit life steal or bonus damage? No, he completely stops attacking!

2)I play Aatrox so much I honestly don't know if this is normal: Any CC that makes him stop auto attacking, well, once it wears off he won't start attacking the champion he was attacking before the CC. Is that normal? Hes standing right next to an enemy being attacked and if I don't click to attack, Aatrox will literally just sit there.
